Social City Adds Premium Biker Bar

Social City developer Playdom added a new premium building to the game’s in-game newspaper today: a biker bar! So what makes this seemingly standard decoration so special? Players that purchase one and place it in their city will then see a gang of bikers driving through their town, alongside the cars and buses already cruising around.

Besides providing the motorcycle gang, the biker bar also has the same substantial stats we have come to expect from premium buildings. It costs 35 City Bucks to purchase, and provides a total 10,000 Leisure.

Hotel City Releases ‘Back to Basics’ Items

Hotel City developer Playfish seems to have realized that in their rush to release unique treehouse rooms, fountains, and fancy artwork, some basic staples were missing from their line-up of decorations. The most recent Back to Basics item set seems designed to rectify this oversight.

Players can now purchase a trash bin, classic closet, basic nightstand and desk, basic black bed, and a couple of wood flooring options, among other new additions. Those players keeping their hotel realistic should now have many more understated decorations to work with.

Happy Pets Adds Color Lenses

Happy Pets developer Crowdstar added a new pet customization today: color lenses! Players can now change what color their pet’s eyes are. Although Crowdstar specifically calls these changes colored lenses (or colored contacts), the company also noted that the new color will carry on to the pet’s offspring. So I guess the change is really more like… eye color surgery? Or genetic modification?

In any case, available colors are: Purple, Green, Yellow, Blue, and Orange. Each set of colored lenses costs 14 FB$ ($1.40).

My Town Releases Memorial Day Update

My Town developer Broken Bulb Studios doesn’t even let national holidays get in the way of their bi-weekly update schedule. The company released two military themed items yesterday, in observance of Memorial Day.

Players can now purchase a War Memorial and a Military Base for their towns. With the recently released beach and water tiles, players can get extra creative. We plan on making our military base surrounded by a moat, for an extra layer of security.
