Happy Aquarium Continues Wedding Expansion

What started as a small batch of decorations in Happy Aquarium has slowly & steadily turned into a pretty sizable expansion. Crowdstar has continued releasing wedding themed goodies at a regular pace the last several days.

New items include: Wedding Ring, Wedding Gazebo, Love Songbirds, and a Flower Girl tank mate. All four are limited editions, and are being sold in limited quantities for FB$ and Pearls. The Wedding Ring comes inside of a clamshell, giving it a nice underwater touch.

Happy Pets Releases Shrink & Grow Elixers

Happy Pets developer Crowdstar has been selling very large and very small premium pets for a while now, but now players can shrink or grow their existing pets! New Growth Elixir and Shrink Elixir are for sale now in the Happy Pets shop.

Each Growth Elixir grows a pet by 20%, with a limit of twice the pet’s normal size. Each shrink elixir shrinks a pet by 10%, with a limit of half its normal size.

The Elixirs are a little pricy, however. The Growth Elixir is for sale for $4.80, and the Shrink Elixir is for sale for $5.00. We wonder why Crowdstar isn’t selling them for the same price?

Happy Island Releases More Island Letters

Happy Island developer Crowdstar refreshed the game’s free gifts tab today, with a new collection of decorative island letters. The letters are very large, in the style of the famous “Hollywood” sign, although each letter of course has its own island.

The newly available letters are: D, N, L, S, I, Y, P, A, and H. The only way to get one is to receive it as a gift from a fellow Happy Island friend – they can’t be purchased.

On an unrelated note, Crowdstar has also released a new attraction. The Villa Arcaia Winery is for sale for $3.50, with about 650 copies left.

Happy Island Adds Golden Rotunda and More

Happy Island developer Crowdstar seems to have a thing for solid gold decorations and attractions. The company released the latest in a long line of solid gold items today – this time a Golden Rotunda. It is for sale for $5, and is a limited edition with about 700 remaining.

The rotunda is a golden version of the normal Cozy Cabana, but honestly, wouldn’t the normal version be more practical? Then again, anyone buying something made out of solid gold probably isn’t too concerned with practicality. The purchase is probably bound to be more along the lines of Mr. Burns’ Ivory Back Scratcher.

Anyway, the company also released four new decorations: King’s Pagoda, Red Sugar Maple, Green Sugar Maple, and Basket Tree. All four are pictured below.

Treasure Isle Releases Monkey Business Maps

Treasure Isle developer Zynga released the third set of Pirate Isles maps this week, entitled Monkey Business. Like the previous set, these new maps contain a lot of atmosphere and even tell little stories, based on what is happening around your treasure seeker. In one, a group of monkey pirates are invading the pirate HQ of of another crew. In another, pirates cling to trees to keep from being blown away by extremely high winds.

The new maps are: Wild and Windy, Good Vibes Jr., Banana Split, Ship Graveyard, Monkey Raid, Buried Treasure, and Banana Cove. Unfortunately, once again most of these new maps must be purchased. Three are for sale only for Island Cash, and one is for sale for coins. We stand by our opinion that Zynga should be charging for decorations, equipment, and energy, and not access to islands.

Millionaire City Updated

We like Digital Chocolate’s Millionaire City because it doesn’t beat around the bush. There is no language about building a happy neighborhood or try to delight players with flowers and parks. No, Millionaire City is all about making cold, hard cash. And that’s something we can respect – at least in video game form.

Anyway, a Millionaire City update was rolled out this week that included lots of bug fixes and other enhancements. Some bits of new content were also introduced:

- Two new buildings: Futuristic Building and Super Skyscraper
- Five new missions including Help Friends VI and Pimp the Colonial.
- A new premium Rent Collector tool for players that don’t want to click all their houses one by one.

FishVille Releases More Deep Sea Abyss Decorations

FishVille developer Zynga released yet another set of Deep Sea Abyss decorations, earlier this week. Every since Zynga tweaked how its FishVille item expansions work, there has been a marked increase in the quality of their new items, in our opinion. New items are now released less frequently, but are generally more desirable. Who doesn’t want a Deep Sea Probe?

As usual, Zynga has frustratingly mixed the brand-new items in with those added weeks ago. But we believe the new items are: White Jelly, Hydrothermal Vent, Goose Barnacles, Deep Sea Probe, and Pillow Lava Flow.

We’re surprised Zynga’s artists were able to resist creating more homages to James Cameron’s The Abyss when making this item set. If we were in charge, the FishVille store would now be filled with liquid aliens and underwater oil platforms.

Restaurant City Releases Psychedelic 60s Items

Restaurant City developer Playfish once again took a trip in their social game decoration time machine – this time landing in the 1960s! A wide variety of 60s themed decorations are now for sale, including parodies of the ultimate icons of the decade: The Beatles.

John Lemon and Mango Star are for sale for Playfish Cash, while Paul Macaroni and George Halibut can be purchased with coins. As cute as these animated Beatles stars are, our favorite new addition is the Hippy Ice Cream Van. It even makes money – 1000 coins every four hours.

Other new items include: Bead Curtain Door, Pink Mod Sofa, Plum Floor Rug, Hippy Potted Plant, Incense Holder, Hippy Tent, Hippy Guitarist, Earth Mother Statue, Mystic Statue, and plenty more.

Cafe World Releases Bistro Item Expansion

Even though Cafe World developer Zynga just introduced a brand new outdoor decorating feature, the company went ahead and still released a new collection of themed indoor goodies to decorate with. Elegant Bistro items are for sale now in the Cafe World shop.

New items include: Boxed In Mime, Violinist, Bread Rack, Cheese Display, Elegant Eiffel Tower, Can Can Dancer, Bistro Door, Black Iron tables and chairs, and plenty more.

Players should have everything they need to turn their cafe into an elegant French Bistro.

Social City Adds Bus Depot & More

Another trio of new buildings were added to Playdom’s Social City today. The three new additions are: Bus Depot, TV Station, and in a bid designed to bring down everyone’s property values, Subsidized Housing 2.

Subsidized Housing 2 is for sale for 50,000 coins, and provides 600 population every 12 hours. The Bus Depot is for sale for 15 City Bucks, and generates 10,000 leisure. Plus, once purchases, city buses will begin cruising a player’s city streets. Lastly, the TV station is for sale for 90,000 coins and generates 5,500 leisure.
