Happy Pets Introduces Chickens

Happy Pets developer Crowdstar has been busy. In addition to Iguanas, the company also introduced another new pet this week: Chickens! Like Horses and Dinosaurs, players must first complete construction of a new building before being allowed to keep chickens as pets, however.

The new Chicken Coop building costs 800 coins to purchase. Players must then enlist the help of their friends to finish construction. Players need 40 construction materials in total. 5 each of: Screwdriver, Screws, Saw horse, Tape Measure, Hinges, Chicken Wire, Rake, and Saw. Players can request these materials by making a Facebook wall post, and they are also available on the Happy Pets free gifts tab.

Once the Chicken Coop is constructed, players can then keep Chickens as pets! So far, the available chicken colors are: White, Yellow, Brown, Cerulean, Red, Purple, Pink, and Black.

Happy Pets Adds Iguanas

Lizard fans, rejoice! Happy Pets developer Crowdstar has finally added Iguanas. Right now, Iguanas are a premium-only pet and can only be purchased with FB$, but we suspect that down the line high-level players will be able to purchase Iguanas for coins.

The available iguana varieties are: Yellow, Hot Ice, Terra, Black, Blue, White, and Pink. They range in price from $4 to $5.

It is worth noting that this isn’t technically the Iguana’s Happy Pets debut. Players could previously receive a Red Iguana at random from a trapped mystery pet promotion. The Iguana prize was particularly rare, however.

Happy Island Adds Futuristic & Steampunk Items

Happy Island developer Crowdstar has updated the game’s shops with items both old and new. New steampunk and futuristic themed items and attractions are now for sale.

The new items are: Bio Sphere, Steamsmith, Empire River, Steam Engine, Steampunk Falls, Steampunk Turn, Island Mech, and Tiki Prime. The items are available for a mixture of coins and FB cash.

The giant mech statue might seem like something out of a futuristic sci-fi show, but it actually really exists. In Japan, a 59 foot tall mecha suit was constructed to celebrate the the 30th anniversary of the Gundam franchise.

Happy Aquarium Schedules Special Anniversary Event

Happy Aquarium is celebrating its first birthday, tomorrow. Time flies in the world of social games, doesn’t it? To celebrate the milestone, developer Crowdstar is giving all players the opportunity to get an exclusive anniversary fish, but only if they log on at a specific time.

Tomorrow, September 15th, players that log in to Happy Aquarium between 10AM and 11AM PST will be awarded the exclusive anniversary fish. Crowdstar has set up an official Facebook event page for the giveaway.

We’re of the opinion that free items, no matter how they’re given away, are always a good thing. But it still seems a little strange that the free fish are only being given away for one hour, doesn’t it? I mean… it’s Crowdstar’s own anniversary celebration. Why not let players that log in all day long get their free fish?

Happy Aquarium Adds New Limited Edition Fish

Happy Aquarium developer Crowdstar added an exotic new fish today, but it is only available to players willing to buy it with premium currency.

The new Oriental Flying Gurnard is currently being offered to all players, with a price tag of $4.80, or 58 Pearls. The colorful blue and orange fish is typically found in the Indo-Pacific Oceans, according to Crowdstar’s in-game information panel.

Right now there are about 2700 copies of this special fish left.

Happy Island Adds Fashion Attractions

Happy Island developer Crowdstar seems to know that no island resort is complete without plenty of good shopping. A variety of new fashion themed shop attractions have been added to the Happy Island store. Players can now purchase Kyle’s Jewelers, Masha’s Makeovers, Holly’s Store, Club Greg 54, and Spicy Pink Bags. Besides Spicy Pink Bags, all are limited editions and will eventually sell out.

A Cocoa Experts chocolate factory was also released, with matching chocolate decorations. Resort planners with a sweet tooth can supplement the attraction with the Choco Shrooms, Cocoa Shrooms, Choco Falls, and Choco Lake decorations.

Happy Pets Introduces Shadow Pet Basket

Happy Pets developer Crowdstar introduced a new version of the tried-and-true “mystery pet” formula today, in the form of a new shy pet basket.

Players can find the basket in their main living room. To get the pet that is inside, players can make a Facebook wall post, asking for their friends’ help. Once seven friends have given their “blessing,” the players will receive one of six brand new pets. Five are all-black pets Crowdstar is calling “Shadow Pets,” and the last is an exclusive variety of Triceratops. The five Shadow Pet varieties are: Hamster, Parrot, Rabbit, Gerbil, and Ferret.

Players that don’t want to bother their friends can also pay $29.80 to automatically earn their pet.

Happy Aquarium Adds More Wizard of Oz Decorations

Happy Aquarium developer Crowdstar has released another handful of decorations themed after L. Frank Baum’s The Wizard of Oz.

New decor options include: Dorothy’s House, Ruby Slippers, The Castle in the Sky, and two members of the Lollipop Guild. Two Oz themed tank wallpapers have also been released.

Additionally, the new Toto and Good Witch tank mates have now been made limited editions. Originally these items appeared to be permanent additions to the Happy Aquarium store. But now, like the rest, they will be gone after about 5000-6000 more copies are sold.

Happy Island Adds More 1930s Items

Happy Island developer Crowdstar has been slowly and steadily adding to the game’s 1930s gangster expansion. Players now have a large collection of goombah goodies with which to decorate their island resorts.

New items include: Meatball Diner, Studio Swagger, E.S. Office, Private Detective, Genco Pawn Shop, Brick Flats, Garbage Truck, Tombstone, Canole, Coppah Car, and Gangstah Car.

Most of the items are permanent additions to the Happy Island Store, but three of the attractions (pictured below) are limited editions.

Happy Pets Introduces New Albino Pets

Happy Pets developer Crowdstar has introduced new a new Albino Siamese Cat and Doberman Dog. To purchase these pets with coins, players will first need to meet the neighbor requirements – 9 neighbors for the puppy, and 11 for the kitten. If players have enough neighbors, both pets can be purchased for 15,500 coins.

Both of these pets have made brief appearances in the past, as a mystery animal or a trapped pet. But now they are considerably easier to obtain.
