FarmVille Releases New Shiba Inu Puppy

FarmVille developer Zynga introduced a new puppy breed this week, for those farmers that just can’t get enough farm pets. Players can now purchase a Shiba Inu puppy for 65 Farm Cash.

The puppy is available in Brown, Black, or Cream. Like all FarmVille pets, players can also give it a custom name, and choose its sex. As a premium pet, it comes with the two weeks’ worth of kibble needed to grow it to full size.

Although it isn’t specifically labeled as being part of the Japanese Garden expansion, the Shiba Inu is a distinctly Japanese breed of dog – one of the few.

FarmVille Adds Japanese Tea House & More

FarmVille developer Zynga released another set of Japanese Garden items this week. With the expansion beginning to wind down, players unsure of which additions to spend their Farm Cash can probably now safely pull the trigger and make their purchases – there probably are very few (if any) Asian themed goodies still to come.

The most recent additions are: Garden Pond, Large Lamp, Cherrywood Gate, Lilac Tree, Tea House II, and Sika Deer. The lilac tree is not harvestable – it is a standard decoration. The Sika Deer is a true animal however, and can be harvested from every two days.

All of these items expire in eight days, except the Cherrywood Gate, which expires in five days (this is possibly an error on Zynga’s part).

FarmVille Introduces Swiss Alps Item Set

FarmVille developer Zynga has been releasing regional themed items expansions all year. French Chateau, Tuscany, and Southwest items sets have all come and gone from the FarmVille marketplace. With the current Japanese Gaden set winding down, most FarmVille fanatics were expecting another set to debut this week, and they weren’t disappointed! It has been revealed that Swiss Alps will be FarmVille’s next major expansion.

So far, there is only a single Swiss Alps item available: a Breton Horse. But since the animal is available for 21 more days and has its own Swiss flag expansion icon, it is all but a certainty that many more Swiss items are on the way.

What do you hope this expansion brings? Leave a comment and let us know!

FarmVille Adds More Japanese Garden Items

In a surprise Monday afternoon update (FarmVille typically updates Tuesdays and Thursdays), Zynga added another handful of Asian themed items, further fleshing out the game’s Japanese Garden expansion.

The new items are: Japanese Home, Paper Wall Home, High Bridge Pond, Momiji Tree, Moss Rock, Tiny Dragon, Sand & Stone, Yellow Dome, Egret, and Daikon crop. Note that the Egret is a real, harvestable animal, but the Momiji Tree is purely decorative.

The Daikon crop can be purchased for 65 coins, grows to maturity in 8 hours, and earns 1 XP, and 133 coins when harvested.

All these items expire in 11 days, along with the the rest of the Japanese Garden goods.

FarmVille Extends Level Cap & Adds High-Level Items

FarmVille developer Zynga has been paying considerably more attention to their most hardcore players, lately. More and more high-level items are being introduced, with another batch being released today.

The new & returning items are:
Level 70: Clover Crop
Level 76: Amaranth Crop
Level 80: White Roses Crop
Level 85: Pheasant
Level 90: Forget-Me-Not Crop
Level 95: Cattail Pond

All of these high-level items are permanent additions to the FarmVille Marketplace, and all are quite expensive. The Pheasant alone is 2,000,000 coins!

Zynga also removed the FarmVille level cap entirely. It is now theoretically possible to earn enough XP to level-up all the way to level 999. The new XP table:

Level 91 = 876,500 XP
Level 92 = 918,500 XP
Level 93 = 963,500 XP
Level 94 = 1,012,000 XP
Level 95 = 1,064,000 XP
Level 96 = 1,120,000 XP
Level 97 = 1,180,000 XP
Level 98 = 1,244,500 XP
Level 99 = 1,313,500 XP
Level 100 = 1,387,500 XP
Level 101 = 1,500,000 XP
Level 102-999 = 100,000 XP per level.

Players only earn 1 Farm Cash when leveling up to level 100, unfortunately.

With FarmVille leveling now uncapped, what is the highest-level player you have come across? Leave a comment and let us know!

FarmVille Unwither Ring Returns

The now-infamous FarmVille Unwither Ring has returned to the FarmVille Marketplace, for another limited-time offer. But this time, there is one important twist: instead of being a gift-only item, players can now purchase one for themselves.

Originally offered as a Valentine’s Day promotion, the Unwither Ring is probably the most powerful FarmVille item available. Any player that owns one will never have their crops wither again. It is quite expensive at 250 FV$ ($40), however.

Like the previous offer, Zynga isn’t giving players much time to decide if this piece of powerful jewelry is worth the price tag. The Unwither Ring’s encore offer is only available for 8 more days.

Will you be buying the Unwither Ring with this second chance? Leave a comment and let us know!

FarmVille Adds Japanese Barn

FarmVille developer Zynga added a new Japanese Barn today, continuing with the game’s growing set of Asian themed items. Players can buy the barn outright, or construct it with the help of their friends.

The barn is for sale for 50 Farm Cash. Players that wish to construct it first have to buy the frame for 5,000 coins. To complete construction, players will need to collect 10 each of: brick, reed thatch, bamboo, nail and wooden board. As usual, players can send these materials to one another from the gifts tab, request a specific material by making a Facebook wall post, or purchase materials for 1 FV$ a piece.

This new barn can store up to 20 items, and like the rest of the Japananese Garden items, it is available for 12 more days.

Ranch Town Collections Introduced

Ranch Town players have been finding items at random on their ranches for some time now. The only thing players could do with one of these found items was return it to the neighbor that supposedly misplaced it, to earn a few bonus coins.

Today, developer Meteor Games revamped this item system, giving it newfound importance. Players can now complete themed item collections. Once a collection is complete, it can be turned in for bonus coins!

Players can keep track of their collections from the new “Pack Rat Alley,” accessible via a new icon at the bottom of the game screen. So far, there are three collections to complete: Cowboy/girl gear, geodes/gems, and fossils.

Ranch Town Releases Patriotic Decorations

Wild West farming game Ranch Town from Meteor Games has gotten the jump on the July 4th holiday, adding a handful of red white & blue decorations to the Ranch Town shop.

Meteor Games doesn’t label the new items, but to the best of our knowledge today’s new additions are: Drum, Patriotic Balloons, TNT Crate, USA Flag, and Cannon. All these new decorations are for sale for coins, besides the flag, which is being sold for 250 MC$.
