FishVille Expands Phosphorus Forest Item Set

FishVille developer Zynga has continued slowly adding to the game’s Phosphorus Forest item collection. Eight more items were added to the expansion this week, bringing its total size up to 16 decorations.

The latest new items are: Horseshoe Crab, Mesmerize, Dream Catcher, Hanging Lamp, Seed Pod, Spirobranchus, Radiant Monstera, and Phosphorus Flytrap. Many of these new glowing plants seem to be as deadly as they are beautiful, with teeth and other deadly appendages included.

FishVille Adds More Phosphorus Forest Items

FishVille developer Zynga introduced a new Phosphorus Forest item expansion last week, focused around glowing plants and animals. The set debuted with just a few items, but Zynga has slowly been adding more.

The newest Phosphorus Forest items are: Sea Serpent, Peeker, Mystic Tablet, Glow Tree, Glow Mushroom, and Glow Capsule. The items are available for a mixture of Sand Dollars and coins, and don’t have a published expiration date. But like all FishVille expansions, these items will eventually be removed to make way for more fresh additions.

FishVille Introduces Phosphorous Forest Expansion

FishVille developer Zynga has finally revealed the game’s next decoration expansion: Phosphorous Forest! Zynga states that players can use these items to turn their tank into a “glowing jungle.” We think the new items more closely resemble the planet Pandora, from Avatar.

So far, only four items are available: Chimaera, Treehouse, Luminous Reeds, and Plasma Orb. Based on previous FishVille expansions, we’re sure many more are on the way.

FishVille Releases More Bayou Items

FishVille developer Zynga further expanded the game’s New Orleans Bayou expansion this week, giving players even more options for decorating their voodoo swamp aquarium. This is now the third week for the Bayou expansion, so it is likely close to wrapping up. Fishville’s item expansions aren’t given official expiration dates, unfortunately. One day the items all just disappear! So if any of these props catch your eye, it would be wise to snatch it up now.

The new items are: Preserved Eyes, Straw Hat, Corncob Pipe, Old Trombone, Voodoo Jar of Teeth, Voodoo Stick, Chickenbone Jar, Decaying Stump, and Rotted Stump. ALL of today’s new items are for sale for coins, which is always welcome.

FishVille Adds More Bayou Items

Like most FishVille expansions, Zynga started off the New Orleans Bayou expansion a little slowly, choosing to release just a few themed items. Things are beginning to pick up steam, however. With this week’s new additions, there are now over two full pages of Bayou items for players to purchase.

The new items are: Jar of Crystals, Baby Caiman, Captured Fireflies, Mambos’ Talisman, Tenor Banjo, Sunken River Raft, Weeping Willow, Hollow Tree Stump, Spanish Moss, Spanish Moss Bunch, Petrified Log, Old Tree Stump. As usual, all the newest items are intermixed with the previous Bayou releases.

Things like moss and petrified wood might not seem like much, but when put all together with other Bayou props, they should go a long way towards helping players convert their aquariums into true Louisiana swamps.

FishVille Introduces New Orleans Bayou Expansion

FishVille developer Zynga wasted no time introducing a new expansion following the completion of its Deep Sea Abyss item set. A brand-new set of Bayou items was introduced late last week! Like most FishVille expansions, this New Orleans item set only includes a few items to begin with. More will likely be added in the coming days.

The new items are: Bullfrog, Swamp Shack, Voodoo Doll, Mambos’ Talisman, Shrunkenhead Man, Mimosa Tree, Cattails, and Petrified Stump. These items don’t have a specific expiration date, but like all FishVille expansions we’re sure they won’t be around forever.

FishVille Releases More Deep Sea Abyss Decorations

FishVille developer Zynga released yet another set of Deep Sea Abyss decorations, earlier this week. Every since Zynga tweaked how its FishVille item expansions work, there has been a marked increase in the quality of their new items, in our opinion. New items are now released less frequently, but are generally more desirable. Who doesn’t want a Deep Sea Probe?

As usual, Zynga has frustratingly mixed the brand-new items in with those added weeks ago. But we believe the new items are: White Jelly, Hydrothermal Vent, Goose Barnacles, Deep Sea Probe, and Pillow Lava Flow.

We’re surprised Zynga’s artists were able to resist creating more homages to James Cameron’s The Abyss when making this item set. If we were in charge, the FishVille store would now be filled with liquid aliens and underwater oil platforms.

FishVille Introduces Discovery Log

FishVille developer Zynga introduced a new discovery log feature, this week. The discovery log seems to be a cross between an achievement/trophy system and an item collection system, with a dash of adventure mixed in. It is now taking up one of FishVille’s main menu slots, indicating that it is likely a permanent addition to the game.

Any time a player “discovers” (ie purchases) one of the fish or decorations present in the log, its spot is colored in and a few points are earned. Special rewards and treasures are available to players that complete fish or treasure collections, or achieve certain point milestones.

It appears all the Discovery Log features are not yet live. Soon, Zynga states that players will be able to “collect resources” in order to go on adventures.

All in all, the Discovery Log seems like a nifty addition to the game. It seems like it might provide FishVille with some much-needed direction, and give players more varied goals to work towards than the previously introduced fish mastery.

FishVille Expands Deep Sea Abyss Item Set

FishVille developer Zynga added more Deep Sea Abyss items this week, to further help players create a dark and mysterious tank. Once again, the new items are intermixed with those that were previously available. Luckily for you SGC is here to run down the most recent additions :)

The new Deep Sea Abyss items are: Deep Sea Angler, Deep Dive Suit, Robotic Arm, Deep Dive Helm, Deep Sea Coral, Lost Necklace, Serpentine Rock, Turquoise Rock, Basalt Spire, Blue Anemone, and Purple Anemone.

The items are available for a mixture of coins and Sand Dollars. Refreshingly, several of the most desirable items, including the rusty and overgrown robotic arm, can be had for coins.

FishVille Introduces Deep Sea Abyss Expansion

FishVille developer Zynga finally introduced a new item theme this week: Deep Sea Abyss! So far just a few decorations are available, but based on previous FishVille expansions (and on the preview loading image), many more are undoubtedly on the way.

The new items are: Brisingid Starfish, Sunken Propeller, Submarine Wreck, and Green Anemone. Both creatures are being sold for Sand Dollars, and both decorations are for sale for coins.

New Deep Sea Abyss background and floor environments are also available, for players that want to give their tank a darker, more foreboding atmosphere.
