YoVille Adds Wonderland House & Items

Zynga’s YoVille is headed to Wonderland in March. The first of what Zynga promises will be “tons” of whimsical furniture options are available now in the furniture store. The centerpiece of today’s item update is undoubtedly the whimsical house, however:

The house features a living room, kitchen, bedroom, bath, upstairs room, balcony, and front yard and is for sale for 38 YoCash.

So far 39 new Whimsical items have been added to the furniture store. New additions include a Jar of Fireflies, misshapen “whimsical” doors, windows, & fireplaces, a checkered rug, a grandfather clock, card paintings, and more. The items are all distorted and extremely distinctive. They might not be much a fit in a realistic YoVille home, but they’re perfect for anyone wanting something more fantastical.

YoVille Adds Extensive Winter Olympics Item Set

YoVille developer Zynga has been releasing Winter Olympic items (referred to as ‘Snow Game’ items in-game) for a while now in their hit virtual world. Another new batch was added earlier this morning.

New additions include a wide variety (over 30) of international flags for those YoVillians hoping to show some national pride. A new XL Snow Games Torch was also added. Rounding out the new additions is a collection of items in the furniture shop that, when assembled, will allow players to build their own ice rink. Nets, ice tiles, and more.

These new additions accompany the previously-added winter decorations, which included skis, ice skates, bobsleds, ice sculptures, trees, medals, and lots of ski and snow tops and bottoms.

As with most Yoville updates, there are simply too many new items for us to list them all or snap pictures of them all. We encourage YoVille players to hit up the game’s shops to see all the additions for themselves. We have snapped a few pics of some of the most interesting new items, however:

YoVille Adds Superbowl and Valentine Clothing

YoVille developer Zynga released a mis-matched batch of clothing to the YoVille marketplace, earlier today. Making sure they have both the male and female demographic covered, a variety of Superbowl clothing items and Valentine’s Day clothing items are now available.

The SuperBowl clothes (referred to as “big game” clothes in-game) are themed for either Indianapolis or New Orleans, complete with accurate color-schemes, allowing gamers to show off their loyalties (and skirting fairly close to various Trademark and Copyright laws). A variety of more general football clothing options were also added, for those that prefer to not take sides.

The Valentine’s Day items continue YoVille’s lovers & heartbreakers theme, with both traditional red/pink items, and black items available.

YoVille Adds Lovers & Heartbreakers Items

Just as YoVille developer Zynga hinted, a variety of Valentine’s Day items were added to the YoVille shop, yesterday. The new items have a little bit of a twist, however. Rather than just being the typical pink, frilly, V-Day items, a “Heartbreakers” set of items were also introduced, which include black roses, and a teddy bear holding a broken heart. Dark!

For all you aspiring home-owners out there, a heart-shaped house was also added to the YoVille shop.

In my opinion, even if you don’t HAVE a valentine this Valentine’s, that’s no reason to resort to the heartbreakers items. It’s still a season for love and caring, YoVille singles!

YoVille Previews Valentine Love & Hate Items

It sounds like Zynga’s Yoville will be stepping a little outside the box for its Valentine’s Day items. Most Facebook games seem to be going the standard route – lots of hearts, lots of pink, lots of winged cherubs… you know the drill. But YoVille is promising items for both “the Lovers and the Heart breakers” out there. This image accompanied the announcement:

I consider myself much of a V-Day lover than hater, but still… there’s something appealing about the idea of a “heart breaker” item set. If for no other reason than that it’s something new and different, in the face of a dozen developers all doing the same thing.

YoVille Beach Item Explosion 2

YoVille puts other games to shame when it comes to pure volume of items added with each update. I am literally unable to keep up. YoVille already went crazy with its beach expansion once, earlier this month. And now developer Zynga has done it again, adding over 100 more new beach appliances, clothing items, and decorations.

Sundresses, wetsuits, snorkels, new bedroom & dining room sets, appliances, accent items, and lord knows what else have all been updated. The items are a mixture of paid and free, like any good Facebook game content update should be. Yovillains… are you excited about the continuation of this summer in January?

YoVille Beach Month Continues

Yoville announced yesterday that there were “tons” of new beach-related furniture and clothing items available to players, and man… they weren’t joking. I counted over 100 new pieces of beach-themed furniture alone. Social Game Central normally tries to snap a few pics of new items when they hit Facebook games, but I’m sure you’ll understand why we’re skipping that standard practice, this time around. If we tried to meticulously document it all, we wouldn’t get much else done for a while.

Beach windows, TVs, umbrellas, palm trees, towels, lounge chairs, rocks, lifeguard stands, Coral, Sand Castles, Tiki Bars, and many, many more new items are now for sale. New accessories in the clothing store include sunglasses, sun hats and fitted ball caps. So all you YoVillians (I just made that up) out there should go check out all the new items.
